Profile Information

About Me:
I've been drawing comics for a long time and started publishing them in 1997....

My self published titles include: Poot 1-5 (with Nigel Upchurch), Ninja Sheep, Sci-Fi Tales #1-2 and Futurecon (with James James), The Endless Plain #1-3, A Busyness of Ferrets, Dreams of a City, The Ground! It Rushes Upwards!, The Death Of Autumn, Space Crusade, Over My Dead Body (with Ben Stenbeck), Something Trembles Beneath The Waves, Mr Unpronounceable Adventures and Ashes.

I also make paintings, prints and drawings and have been involved in several exhibitions, including Strange Dreams (2001), Static Black Attic (2002) Alas! My Octopus! (2003) and A Monstrous Collection of Lies (2005)

I draw heavily on Surrealist techniques, Symbolist ideas, dreams and synchronicity for inspiration.

I'm currently living, working and playing in Melbourne, Australia where I'm pursuing a career in Illustration, and continuing with my artistic practice. I also play in a band and love a good knees up!

Some damn fine stuff Tim, thanks for signing on!
Please to keep us posted of any exhibitions and publications and we will whack it up on the main blog!
Don't hesitate to pimp your band, we have the bandwidth and a 'music and comics' forum to boot.

Hey Tim, I picked up a copy of Under the bed in Sticky the other day, it was really great.
I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen more of your books around, from reading your about box over there it seems like you have a bunch of stuff.

2012 in Review: M. P. Fikaris

What have been your personal cartooning/comics highlights of 2012? Starting up a little store room in my studio and printing up a new periodical DAILIES while pushing through my inhibitions of medium and painting some comics.

Christopher Downes 2012 in review

What have been your personal cartooning/comics highlights of 2012? I went to the Australian Cartoonists Association's Stanley Awards weekend for the very first time. I had to crowd fund in order to get there, but it was really fun. I got to meet a lot of heroes of mine and they turned out to be genuinely nice people.

2012 in Review: Tim Danko

What have been your personal cartooning/comics highlights of 2012? Continuing confidence in my work and processes, it is the gift that keeps on giving.
