My first comic I can remember drawing was called 'Bob the Dog', sometime in the early eighties. When I was working at a fish and chip shop in my late teens, the editor of a student newspaper encouraged me to submit some comics, and the results became the zines 'Flippin' Out' and 'Trevally of the Shadow of Death'. Everyone likes those first comics more than anything I've done since.
Since going to art school, I've attempted an comics adaptation of the Biblical story of Jonah, and completed a number of experimental comics, including 'Bad Habits', 'Fumetti', and 'Nature Morte'.
I've done quite a few collaborations with writers, and me and my friend Benny just got a grant to properly publish our first book, which should be coming out about March 2008. I also run a little gallery/studio in St. Peter's, Sydney.

"Hey John,
Tasmania doesn't have anything else to do, so we just draw comics all day.
Have you got any new comics out? Wanna do a trade?"
New comics? I'm busting a hump doing someone else's comic at the moment. But it will help make the planet a safer place for the medium.

Can set aside one for you, it will be printed in just over a fortnight (touch wood). I can get it to Oz via one of my friends who travels frequently.
