I produce community arts projects for a living(grant writing, that kind of jazz), co-curated an exhibition in 2004 about Australian alternative comics with Leigh Rigozzi which toured to 4 Australian states, and make comics/zines with very small print runs because i'm shy when it comes to my own work.
I only have the first book in the Kampung Boy series, but i love it for its gentle humor and beautiful artwork and respect it greatly for the fact that it is a story that takes place in a rural setting, so few comics do that, well so few stories fullstop, no matter the medium.
Hmm...we have enough people for a Tassie comickers group... I'm thinking of getting a Portland comics one going (used to live there).
